So you want to be a husband! What kind of material are you made of? I did this same blog for woman. No matter if your a man or a woman if your going to get married marriage still comes with responsibilities. And if your not ready to take on those responsibilities how are your ready for marriage? The first things is

first can you consider yourself a man? Just because you have become a certain age does not make you a man. It is the qualities you possess and the responsibility you take on. Just as the Lord had created the woman to be a help yet a help is suppose to help someone who is doing something. Adam when he was created God put him to work and then created a woman to help him in their home. He was the lead of his household?Are you loving towards your wife? Do you provide? There is an order in which God originally made the home so are your husband material? If your not you need to pray and ask God to turn you into a man who is made of the right material to be a husband!

Husband is to Lead his home!

Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

We as woman are told by God submit to our husband! We are to submit because the husband is the head of the home. Of course Christ is over the husband, then comes the husband, then the wife, and then the children. This means husband and the wife should have a relationship with God to help lead his household. What you will Notice is that when ever the husband is mentioned it always says as Christ is the head of the Church. This is because the man "represents" Christ and the woman " Represents "The Church". So just as Christ is the head of his church the man is the head of the wife. Yet if you know Jesus you know that Christ leads his Church all the time helping guide the church to a better place. He cares and loves his church. So if you are going to lead your household lead your house hold like Christ would lead his church.So that goes to say It is hard to lead a Christian home without hearing from the Lord. If your wife is the only one hearing from the Lord its time for you to build your relationship with him so he can help guide you to better lead your home. No you don't have to be harsh in the way you lead just learn to be a good influence in your home. You are to help set the tone in your family. So we may follow where ever you lead us in life! Just as the Church follows Christ were ever he leads us in life!

Learn to Love your wife

Ephesians 5:255 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

I know alot of men have to be macho men! Yet that does not give you an excuse to not love your wife and treat her Good.Colossians 3:19 says Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them. Christ loves his church so just as Christ loves his church you should love your wife. Christ died for his church and when you make a woman your wife you are dying to yourself like Christ did to make a vow to love her! Dedicate your life to her and remain faithful to her. It is hard to love sometimes especially in this world. Yet Gods word is a love letter expressing love to its fullest form so you want to be a husband learn to love your wife! Because love is.... 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.8 Love never fails. So you want to be a husband learn to love your wife!

Husband is to provide!

"Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever” 1 Timothy 5:8

God is the Ultimate provider so the responsibility is not completely on you! Yet you still you have to work !The first thing God did when he created Adam was he created the Garden and then put him to work. Genesis 2:20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.God never created a man to sit at home all day as a husband! He didn't create anyone to be lazy not even the wife. Wives have tons of responsibilities that God wants them to do. Since the Curse when adam and eve ate of the fruit of the garden we will sweat and work hard to eat. You want to be a husband your family needs to eat, needs shelter! Yes God will help you find a job if you seek him and seek a job! God will help you provide as well as a man so don't get stressed out! I see God help me provide all the time he helps me meet my bills when i dont even know how i will make them. If you work and follow God your needs will be met. Yet you have to be willing and responsible to help provide for your family!
