Making a leap of faith together


Faith can be a gamble

Gamble :take risky action in the hope of a desired result.

Genesis 24:58 So they called Rebekah and asked her, “Will you go with this man?
“I will go,” she said.

Faith can be scary. Rebekah left her family in faith that God had a husband for her. She went with some random man and believed God chose her to be Isaacs wife. Okay God I'll go. But what if she got to the other side and Issac didn't want her. She didn't end up with a family. Nothing that happned ended up happening. She would have felt dumb like I had faith that this was God but I wasn't. But it was God and in the end rebekah got a new husband and started a family with Issac.



They made a leap of faith

Leap :a sudden or abrupt transition

Ruth 4:13 So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. When he made love to her, the Lord enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son.

Faith is amazing. It can be scary though. Yet Boaz and Ruth were in love and so when they knew they could be together they took a keep of faith. Boaz did what he needed to do to make Ruth his wife. They leaped! They were going to spend the rest of their lives together.



They desire each other

Psalm 37:4

4 Delight yourself in the Lord,
    and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Do you think God doesn't know who loves you? Well he does he knows your desires. Boaz desire was Ruth and Ruth's desire was boaz Amos 3 :3 say can two walk together less be agreed the both agreed. They both desired each other.

Love is not a feeling. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Being in love hard. I know first hand. Love is a sacrifice so a sacrifice something is given up. The bible says in John 3:16 for God so love the world that he gave his only begotten son. That whosoever believes in him should not perish but have ever lasting life. He gave son and his son went to the cross to bear the sins of the world.
