He Proposed!!

Finding The One!

the one
  1. 1.
    a person's destined life partner.

Genesis 24: 12 Then he prayed, “Lord, God of my master Abraham, make me successful today, and show kindness to my master Abraham. 13 See, I am standing beside this spring, and the daughters of the townspeople are coming out to draw water. 14 May it be that when I say to a young woman, ‘Please let down your jar that I may have a drink,’ and she says, ‘Drink, and I’ll water your camels too’—let her be the one you have chosen for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.”15 Before he had finished praying, Rebekah came out with her jar on her shoulder. She was the daughter of Bethuel son of Milkah, who was the wife of Abraham’s brother Nahor.16 The woman was very beautiful, a virgin; no man had ever slept with her. She went down to the spring, filled her jar and came up again.

The bible talks about a man finding a wife and when he finds a wife he finds a good thing. Abram sent his servant on a journey to find the best wife for Issac! So when the servant prayed he prayed he would find "the one"! Finding the one is great the one you will spend your life with. It's not always going to be an easy journey but you do it together. You build you grow you learn. When servant finished praying he had found "the one" for issac! When a man has finally found the one and knows this her well he takes action! He wants to do what is right before God. Right for her! He makes a choice in making her his wife!

He Proposed
Proposed : make an offer of marriage to someone.
Genesis 24:50 Laban and Bethuel answered, “This is from the Lord; we can say nothing to you one way or the other. 51 Here is Rebekah; take her and go, and let her become the wife of your master’s son, as the Lord has directed.”
The day the servant came for Rebekah he was coming because needed a wife for Issac. It was an offer for marriage. Before a man and a woman get married the man ask the woman to marry him! He proposes. For most woman this is a life changing day. Also for the man as well because it brings to single people closer to the step of being one. Yet the thing is Rebekah had the offer to be Issacs wife and just like with any proposal it still required a yes to be able to move forward.

She Said Yes!!

Genesis 24:57 Then they said, “Let’s call the young woman and ask her about it.” 58 So they called Rebekah and asked her, “Will you go with this man?”“I will go,” she said.

Yes!!! She said yes! Yes she would marry this man. Yes she would be his wife. Yes she would build a future a family. Yes she would go on this new journey and move forward in her life. When a man propose it requires and answer and when you say yes it starts a new beginning a new journey! Its like a turn in the road and you start heading to a new destination!!! Towards Marriage!

Headed Towards Marriage!

Genesis 24:59 -61So they sent their sister Rebekah on her way, along with her nurse and Abraham’s servant and his men. 60 And they blessed Rebekah and said to her,“Our sister, may you increase
    to thousands upon thousands;
may your offspring possess
    the cities of their enemies.”
61 Then Rebekah and her attendants got ready and mounted the camels and went back with the man. So the servant took Rebekah and left.

Marriage is Gods way and when you decided to make her your wife your doing it the way God intended it to be. To make her your wife to make his your husband. Making the choice to love one woman to make the choice to love one man. To make a ever lasting covenant!  God never intended life to be shacking up, baby daddies and baby mommas, one night stands , and sidelines. Yet he wanted his people to have love, to have a helper, to have a mate. To do things the right way to head towards marriage! So thats what she did Rebekah got started her journey and headed towards being Issac's wife!
