Divorce will not be an option

Malachi 2:16

16 “For the Lord God of Israel says
That He hates divorce,
For it covers one’s garment with violence,”
Says the Lord of hosts.
“Therefore take heed to your spirit,
That you do not deal treacherously.”

The day I say I do that will be it there will be no going back for me. Married until death do us part. Divorce is not an option for me. I understand the vows I will take for better or worse. Worse can come with anything sickness..homelessness..hard days that I wish God would iintervene and fix already. Yes even in worse divorce is not an option. I have commitment issue so if I actually commit than that is it divorce is not an option. I am only getting married once!!!

Making a serious commitment??

Luke 9:23 Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

I have commitment issue. I dont like to finish what I start and often want to give up. I get fearful and want to turn back. I have a alot of what if's. The thing im learning is commitment seems overwhelming if you look at all the days in a whole. Yet christ asked the disciple to take up their cross daily for this commitment. I believe if we only focus on our commitments day to do and focus on accomplishing what we can do for today. Then do the same when the next day come things will seem a little less overwhelming.

On hard days focus on your choice to make your commitment

Matthew 14:28-30

28 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”

29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.

30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous,[a] he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

See peter sank in commitment when he saw the winds blowing around him. When we have made commitment we must focus on the goal. Not the hard times all around us. I stepped out to follow Jesus 2 years ago I cannot turn back I have a destination to reach I made a commitment and I am not giving up no Matter how bad it gets. Having faith that the hard times around me wont always be like this.

                                                       Till Death do Us Part! 

Mark 10:9

9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.

Till Death Do Us Part: the only thing which can put an end to your marriage is the death of either partner. In other words, no divorce.

Divorce is not an option for me. Once i take this step of faith oneday to commit myself there is no turning back. I will love my husband until my grave. Through ever hardship we face. Through the good days the bad days the not so easy days.  Through the days i dont feel like looking at him. Through the days I just want him to hold me. Through the days he is sick. Through the days he is well. Through the days that he doesnt know what to do or how we will get through. Through the ups and the downs. From the days we have kids to the day we send our kids to college. To the days we retire. No matter what life may bring us. Hoping that God take me before he takes him because when i take my vow there is not a day on this earth that i want to live without him! Till Death do us part!
