Haven't you read that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,' and said, "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh?" So they are no longer two but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate" -(Matthew 19:4-6).
God intended relationships between a husband and a wife to last. Relationships where never meant for divorce. Forever until death do they part. It two takes two to make things work. Two people willing to make an effort. You want relationship relationship comes with action building growing compromise communication love affection. If you give none then its not relationship and it dies. If
dont water your plant it dies. If you dont love your children its called neglect. If you dont work on building a relationship it ends. It is a two way street. That sometimes ends because someone stops driving down the same road and two can walk together only if they agree.

18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
take for granted
To assume you will never lose something. Commonly followed by losing it
God made eve as a helper to adam. Its one thing to be a help to your husband its another thing if he takes you forgranted. GOD tells the man to love his wife as christ loves his church. Its gets tiring when your relationship is one sided and your putting in the effort to do everything alone. A helper helps she doesn't do everything alone. If that's was the case adam would have been alone not needing a woman's help. Dont sit there and not appriciate your wife exspcially if she bends over backwards to try to be the best she can for you. Dont assume you will never lose her because you havent lost her yet because you will lose her.
Instead of changing he replaced her for a new wife
Esther2:17 And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.
Being replaced I hate it felt like ive been replaced my whole life. That there always someone better if I cant do what someone wants or satifies there needs they way they want. Crazy he replaced her for a new wife and never looked back. It hurt being replaced when people keep moving on without you. But what about me? Whose going to love me?

Sometimes the hope is God will restore your relationship when it breaks and sometimes he doesn't. The relationship ends. The end of a relationship can end of a rough chapter if your life alot of the time you dont want to let go and alot of the time. You hold on longer than you have to knowing things would never work. Sometimes its not your fault some times you did all you could do but your partner wasnt working with you. Sometimes it took the two. How ever the case your losing your relationship.
