Ready for Commitment!


I'm ready for Commitment! 

Matthew 9:9
And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.

I have commitment issues. I get so fearful of being with someone and then them leaving me. So i can get into a relationship but then i get afraid and i shut down and say i cant do this anymore because Im afraid what if they leave me after i have fallen in love and gone down a road of committing my life to them. Its easy at first to be committed but when it starts getting hard. Will they leave, im not always that easy. It's not that im afraid to commit because im going to leave im afraid to commit because my fear is they are going to leave. Its like if MAtthew was to follow Jesus but then Jesus just left him and he no longer had a sense of direction well you said to follow me. You said we would walk on this journey together. I was following what we planned for our life then you left and i had to get a new plan. The last relationship I had we talked about moving to Atlanta after getting married about him going to the military, about kids, how id change my last name and not keep cooper at all, about how we would discipline our kids. We had plans and anywhere he would have lead me as my husband i would have followed him. Yet when he left I had no sense of direction. What am i going to do now? Thank God i have Jesus because he kept guiding me.Because i felt lost. I dont want to have commitment issues anymore. I want to become committed. Matthew saw Jesus and when Jesus said follow him well thats what he did and he made a commitment to do just that. Im ready for commitment!


Serious Relationship

Serious: acting or speaking sincerely and in earnest, rather than in a joking or halfhearted manner.

Mark 12:30
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

Im going to take this relationship seriously.Not as a joke or a game but as something real. After a while of living life you get tired of losing the one you love because you take their love as a game instead of really loving them with a serious love. I want a serious relationship and God wants a serious relationship one that is more than just a game or half hearted but one that you love with a full love.
Finding Someone to Commit To!
Proverbs 18:22
He who finds a wife finds a good thing,
And obtains favor from the Lord.
find
discover or perceive by chance or unexpectedly.
I can want to commit all I want to . Yet the bible says a man who finds a wife finds a good thing! I want him to know for sure. I dont want to manipulate anyone into loving me! I want them to love me because the love me! That they want to commit to me! Christ will never force you to love him its free will to give him your love! So man makes a woman his wife he has found that someone he is willing to commit to! When a man finds a wife! It doesnt say when he finds a side chick, girlfriend, mistress, it says a wife! A wife is a woman who a man makes a long term commitment to!He finds a good thing! I saw a post this morning of a man proposing to a female and the captain he wrote was saying that she was deserving of this. He thought she was deserving of being his wife! He wanted to give her that title! His wife! Give her his last name! He had found the one and she was going no where! Yet she would stay by his side!

 For The Rest of Your Life Type of Commitment!!!

Proverbs 31:12
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

rest: something that remains over : remainder

The proverbs 31 wife well her husband heart trust in her but not only that! She would do him good and not evil all the days of her life. Meaning for the rest of her life? Committing to God is a remainder of your life commitment! For the rest of your life. Committing to your spouse is for the rest of your life commitment! All the days of her life means from the day she says I do! I became committed to Christ since the day I accepted him as my savior! For the rest of my life I will serve him! Its a commitment! A long term commitment! Something serious! Are you sure your ready to make such a large commitment because once you do there is no looking back?Only Forward!

It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
