Commitment!! It is a BIG WORD! In todays society seems like commitment is hard to find. People would rather have no strings attached. Friends with Benefits, Causal Sex, One night stands. Seems like being in love is just hard! That its easier to have a sexual fling then to have an emotional committed relationship. Commitment brings emotions and getting into what your being committed to. I love my Job i put my heart and soul into my job. I am committed to it. Its not just about the money i have relationships with the people their! I enjoy it. I am committed to it my heart is their. Yet when their is no commitment well your hearts not really their you don't really have to have the same love or passion you would have as if you were committed. You can just walk out whenever you so please because you have no obligations and don't have to stay if you dont want to because it doesnt have that meaning to you that it would as if you were committed! God never intended it to be this way but somehow life has brought us to this commitmentless life!

This is the first time Solomon Refers to the woman as his spouse. Earlier in the chapter he talks about her body. Yet he did not just want to share intimate moments with her he wanted her to be his bride! He wanted to be committed to her. Come with me! In 2 Samuel 13 the Amnon did not want to marry his sister he just wanted to sleep with her. Their was no commitment. Solomon did not just want to have sex but he wanted to make her his bride. To make love to her passionately as her being his wife! Yes commitment can be scary but he was willing to take the risk because losing this woman would be hard!! Hosea told his wife you will be for me and I for you because he needed restrictions, conditions he didn't want to share his wife Gomer with anyone he only wanted her to love him and him to only love her! He wanted a commitment with his harlot wife! Who he tells her that she will no longer play the harlot but they will be for each other in a committed relationship!!

Love your SPouse As you would Love yourself!

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

I like this scripture especially when it says husband loves your wifes as they love their own body! If you love yourself, take care of yourself, try to treat yourself in a good manner. Then why wouldn't you do that to your spouse. If your in a committed relationship to them you would want them to be treated kindly like you would treat yourself. It doesnt say neglect it says love!!! Nourish, CHerish! Those are the things that take time and commitment! They take effort which people who have no strings dont really have to do because their doesnt have to be anytype of attachment! There doesnt have to be anytype of dedication or love. I think love has become hard because people are lazy they say they want love and the benefits of love but they dont want to take the time to really love! We have become selfish and greedy wanting to just live for sexual pleasure and what we can get. Filling our own needs! Ive learned some of the truest love is loving someone when they can't really love you back in the same way. You learn to be unselfish. Parents must do this alot love their children because when a baby is first born a baby has so many needs. Well if you have two people caring for each others needs the wives about the husband and the husbands about the wives rather just self gain. Love would be alittle more easier. Love your spouse as you would love yourself!

See when God took the Rib out of Adam it was attached to him! Yet when he took it out it was no longer attached! Then he made Eve! Yet one thing Adam knew was that This was his bone! MY BONE OF MY BONE. This was his wife and he had an attachment to her. He was going to be committed. So they clave together only meaning joined together as husband as wife! to become one! The word** My*** holds a possession! My bone! This is My flesh! He was committed to it.He had an attachment to it and he was not going to let it go! Her name was Eve!!AND SHE WAS HIS WIFE!
