A Demonstration of love!
A Demonstration of love!
dem·on·stra·tion
the action or process of showing the existence or truth of something by giving proof or evidence.
John 4:1-9
When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,
2 (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)
3 He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.
4 And he must needs go through Samaria.
5 Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
6 Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.
7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
The best way to love someone is show them that you love them. Actions speak so louder then words. Which for me I write and so sometimes i wish words shouted a bit louder. lol The Samaritan woman was confused by the Love Christ was offering to her she said how is it that you being a Jew asked me? She was probably confused at what someone was asking
her these questions because she was Samaritan and him a jew not only that he was at the well when she was and no one else was their. She was so use to being alone at the well. Probably people talking to her that it just seemed strange for someone to pay her sometype of attention really why me out of all people his love confused her it was something she wasnt getting anywhere else. Yet he didn't just say it with words he showed her by his actions!
Why Me Out of all People
Ruth 2:10-11
10 Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?
11 And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.
Boaz Choose Ruth out of all the other widows of the field. He has a reason he saw things about her how she had demonstrated her love towards her motherin law. Which lead to Boaz being in love with her. Why me out of all people? It was her love! He loved the way she loved! And he wanted her love. You know the woman at the well was a thirsty woman but you know people who are hungry for love usually tend to fight for love more because they are fighting for something they are longing for and when you don't have something you tend to value it more when you have it. For her reason tho well he showed and loved her because she showed love to others and when your actions show love those around you want what you have to offer! Love!! Like with Christ when we love like christ others will want the love of Christ.
Boaz Demonstrates his love!
Ruth 4:11 And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The Lord make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem:
Woman are not the only one can demonstrate their love but MEN can too! Boaz demonstrated his love when Ruth approached him to be her kinsman redeemer he went right away to go redeem her. He didn't wait he Redeemed her his love for her did not wait but it was demonstrated now! When you love someone you don't have to wait to show someone you love them you should now! Because they may not always be here for you to love. Boaz took no chances on losing Ruth... It was now or never!!
The Journey of love!!
Genesis 24:57-67 And they said, We will call the damsel, and enquire at her mouth.
58 And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go.
59 And they sent away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham's servant, and his men.
60 And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them.
61 And Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the man: and the servant took Rebekah, and went his way.
62 And Isaac came from the way of the well Lahairoi; for he dwelt in the south country.
63 And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming.
64 And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel.
65 For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.
66 And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done.
67 And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.
Journey
a traveling from one place to another, usually taking a rather long time
Love is not just oneday but it is a journey! Love is not just demonstrated oneday but everyday. You can't say you love someone and not keep loving! Its a journey it takes a long time. As people grow you learn to love them different. Its a journey that takes growth and learning people change and love grows different and stronger. Like when you have kids as they grow you love them differently because their needs are different. Just like you would do the same for your husband or wife or for Christ. I know that with my relationship with Jesus it has changed so much in the last 4 years from learning to trust him, learning his likes and dislikes, allowing him to love me and heal my hurts, having the personal relationship that only i understand with him, he has been so many things to me and our relationship has changed during the journey but it has only allowed me to love him more. Rebekah when she left home to the promise land she started her journey towards love!
