I Love You More!

I Love You More!

Ruth 1:16-17

16 And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:
17 Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: theLord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.

Ruth didn't care what she had to give up to move forward with Naomi she was determined to do it. Why? What was so special about Naomi that made Ruth want to cling on to her and never let go? What made her not care about what she had to give up in order to move forward with her.The other night I watched Fireproof I have watched that movie time after time yet have missed the part where he smashes the computer open, throws it away, and leaves roses for his wife saying I love you more. Saying he loved her more than his porn addiction. I cried so hard I didn't know what to do. He was saying I don't care what I have to do I choose to move forward with you than without you. No matter what I have to give up! He refused to choose an addiction! He was saying I love you more than this thing that causes you pain. I remember being young and wild the guy a dated right before he left I decided Id change my life for him because I loved him more than my addictions, more than my street lifestyle, more than the things I use to do that were harmful. People always complain about the things that they have to give up when they come to Christ. Yet I look at it like this when you love someone more than those things you have to give up it really doesn't matter what you have to give up! You will give them up if you really love them like you say you do. Ruth did it, the guy on fireproof did it, I did it! Time and time again i've seen tons of woman quit smoking and drinking for their baby while pregnant. Why? Because the love they have for the child is greater than they have for the thing they will intake in their body to cause the child harm. Ruth was saying I choose to follow you and everything in life that you have over what was behind me. What I once believed, what I once thought, yet I choose to move forward with you! Ruth was saying I love You More than what would soon be behind her!

                                                            Unchanging Love!
stead·fast
adj.
1. Fixed or unchanging; steady.
2. Firmly loyal or constant; unswerving.

 Ruth 1:18

18 When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.

Naomi  stop asking questions to Ruth when she realized that no matter what she was going to do she was not doing to turn back that she was in it for the long hall and their was no changing her mind. Her love was unchanging. It was never going to change no matter where Naomi was, no matter what she did, no matter what she had to face she was in this for the long run. Dedicated! Not everyone is committed to love or loving someone through whatever ups and downs. It takes someone really true and Loyal someone who really loves you to want to stick around no matter what. That's how God is his love never changes! No matter what! When Adam and eve sinned in the Garden he God made clothes for them. Yes he was probably upset but his emotions or hurt did not get in the way of his love for them!

Genesis 4:1

And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.

You would think Adams love for his wife would have changed after they got kicked out of the garden. Yet it didn't he held on instead of growing apart from his wife he knew his wife. They grew a bond that should only be shared with a husband or a wife.  He was intimate with his wife. They had a child together. A part of him came together with apart of her and became one! Which showed the love they shared! It showed it never changed. No matter what when you were to look at Cain you'd see someone was a product of an unchanging love. He may have grown but he'd still be a reflection of that moment! Where they knew each other!

A Love That Grows!

Genesis 18:10-12

10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.
11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.
12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

Love grows! Sarah and Abraham had been through a lot together in life. They were older now! When you love someone you grow older with them. Not just older in age but older with experience. You don't always know how to love them because people change through out life. Yet you learn how to! You have years on you that other people don't have, you understand things that others don't! You understand each others struggles you may even share each others struggles. Sarah and Abraham shared a struggle. His wife was barren. He loved her! Yet he still had to bare the same pain with her! He longed for a child just as much as she longed for a child. Sarah was not just barren but Abram was barren with her. Yet he still chose to love her through her barrenness! He still choose to share her struggle with her! Love is not always easy, sickness comes, famine comes, arguments come. Yet they decided they would love!

Genesis 30:1-2

1 And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me children, or else I die.
And Jacob's anger was kindled against Rachel: and he said, Am I in God's stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?

Rachael yelled at her husband because she was barren. What could he do? How could he fix the issue. Yes he got mad! Yet he loved her though she was sick . He probably wanted it for his wife more than anything. Yet he never left he stood by her as they grew together!

A Together Love

to·geth·er

With or in proximity to another person or people
Ruth 1:19
So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?

Naomi and Ruth went together! They did not have to do the Journey alone but they had each other! Sometimes we get so use to being alone that its hard to think that someone wants to work as a team to help grow with you! No it doesnt mean they probably didn't have their ups and downs everyone does! It would be a lie to say they didn't. Yet no matter what they did it together!

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?
12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

They had each others back. Recently I have been learning this how to walk in life with someone else. It's not always about you but you have to make sure when you make turns in life you are including that person. To make sure you are not leaving them behind but that they are with you during the turns in life. Naomi told Ruth to turn again to go back. Yet Ruth didn't want to . She wanted to make sure she took what ever turn that Naomi took. To be there to help her if she fell. Naomi later did the same with Ruth when she met Boaz made sure that she found security in a kinsman Redeemer someone who would love her! They did it together!
