I Miss You!
Miss To feel the lack or loss of
John 11:20-21
When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed at home.
“Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died.
Death Ends a Life Not a Relationship! Lazarus was sick and he died yet because Lazarus died didn't mean that Mary and Martha didn't miss their brother! They missed him very much we only know this because Martha didn't give Jesus anytime to say anything before she rushed out to say " If you had of been here my brother would have not died." Where were you Jesus? She missed her brother! Death had ended his life but her heart was still tied into the memories, tied into the fact that she loved her brother, tied into the relationship and bond they once had. Have you ever had a relationship with someone and it die on you? The life it once had is no longer their but the relationship you shared, the memories are still well alive! It hurts it's painful you are still holding on and life is going on. Martha was screaming out to the Lord if you would have been here my brother would have not died. She just wanted her brother back! You don't have to miss something that is there only something that isn't!

Luke 15:4-5
4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
This man must have counted his sheep time after time. Then oneday he noticed one was missing! Wait this is not right! This can't be right! How could I lose my sheep? This man was going to go out and search for his missing sheep because he had to find it. He had to go after it! Yes its okay to have 99 but what about that one! Things would not be the same if he did not have that one sheep. You think about the prodigal son. Yes he had another son but his other son was not the prodigal just like the prodigal was not the other son. They were different with different qualities.
Luke 12:7
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
God knows every hair on your head of Course he would know if you go missing! If you stray from him! He longs to have a relationship with you! A relationship that is personal and different from the rest. That is one on one! He values you! He will keep seeking until you are found!
Luke 15:8
Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
When things go missing we often keep looking for them until we find them. This woman lost a piece of silver and kept seeking continually until she found what she was looking for. So didn't the woman in Songs of Solomon :
Song of Solomon 3:2
I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
This woman went to the city streets and seeked after the one her soul loveth. Yet still she could not find him. I could only Image being in love and searching for someone you love and not being able to find them! Being someone who use to run away I understand! Imagine if anyone tried to find me and they did not find me! No matter where they looked. Yet they keep searching they were both determined to find what they were searching for. No matter what! We need to be seeking the Lord like that. Seeking until we find him! Until we know what he wants for our lives! We need to seek after God like these woman. They were not going to give up until they could grasp what was missing!
I Missed You!!
And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
When the prodigals father saw the prodigal from a distance close to coming home He was more than happy. He had missed his son for so long and then he saw him. He finally saw him coming home! He had been out of sight for so long but now he was in sight! He would now be able to embrace his child once more! When you miss someone so much you really don't care what happen before your so overwhelmed with the fact that they are coming back!So the Father had nothing but compassion for his son. He ran out to his son, embraced his neck kissed him. My son is home!!! My son!!!! He was just so happy he had missed his son so much but he was now home and he wouldn't have to miss him any longer because he was now home. That's what its like when we come back to God. When Jesus came and decided to roll away the stone and wake Lazarus out from his grave. I bet Mary and Martha were so happy because they had missed their brother back! Finally! Their brother was once dead but now He is alive again! Just like the Prodigal!
Luke 15:24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
