^{Genesis 37:4-8} 

And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

 And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:

 For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.

 And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.

                                 God knows just what we need to get us to where we need to be. Look at Joseph.

God had dreams for Joseph's life that he gave to Joseph through a vision! Yet when Joseph family found out they where angry at what God wanted to do for his life! They in no way wanted it to come to past! Have you ever had God tell you something for your life or had a dream or a goal for your life and those around you would do anything to keep you from getting to that place in your life. Sometime's it's because people want  to keep you in the place that they see you as. Joseph brother's saw him in a certain light their younger brother. The eldest gets to lead and if the eldest dies then the next after that so why did God give him a dream that he would be lifted up higher than them. Think about your dreams have you ever had a goal that you wanted to obtain and it seemed greater than someone else's and so they tried anything to stop it from happening! From getting you to reach that Goal?

Conflict 

^{Genesis 37:19-20}

 And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.

²⁰ Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.

So they decided they would do anything to stop him from what God had for his life! So they casted him into a pit so that he would not be able to get out. They got him to a place in his life that only they could rescue him out of and they were not going to do that. They were going to make him suffer because they never wanted to see his dreams come to past. Yet the thing they did wrong is they through him in a pit and didn't kill him. Even I  know  as a dreamer that as long as you still have the dream or the vision God gave you God  can still make away no matter how big the pit is that someone digs for you. So instead they sold him off to slavery!

^{Genesis 37:27-28} 

Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.

 Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.

His family was content because he wouldn't be higher then them! When they decided to sell him off to slavery! Man oh man! So much for his dreams! They were happy! He will never be in the place God said he would! What they didn't get was they weren't fighting against Joseph but they were fighting against Gods plans for his life! Not matter how much you fight with God's plans what he said will happen will happen! Look at Christ they handed up Christ to be Crucified but that was God plan for him to be raised up from the dead to bring life to all the sinners of the world!

Rising Action!

Genesis 40:21-23

²¹ And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand:

²² But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them.

²³ Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.

After being thrown in a pit Joseph was put into jail. Then once in Jail he was sat there! Yet it came to pass that two men who worked for Pharaoh came in and they dreamed, dreams! Joseph then interpreted and they  came true. Death came to the baker like he had said and Life was restored to the butler like he had said. Joseph should of known right then that life God was not finished with him yet because his dream and vision that God had gave him from the start had not come to pass yet.

Genesis 41:1

 And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.

The butler forgot Joseph but God did not because no longer after Pharaoh had a dream! God gave Pharaoh a dream that would happen to his kingdom! Something that was disturbing if something didn't happen but Pharaoh didn't understand what yet the butler remembered Joseph! Which brought Joseph into the right place in which God wanted him to be in because Joseph interpreted the dream! Which brought everything closer to how God planned it to be!


Genesis 41:37-41

³⁷ And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

³⁸ And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?

³⁹ And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:

⁴⁰ Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

⁴¹ And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.

Climax 

Genesis 45:1-7

 Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.

² And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.

³ And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.

⁴ And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.

⁵ Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.

⁶ For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest.

⁷ And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

Joseph brothers came to Egypt for grain and finally Joseph revealed himself to his brothers! He was finally in the place that God wanted him to be in! Yet he let his brothers know he wasn't mad at them because God sent him there to preserve life! God's plan came to pass! No matter who tried to stop it. What Joseph went through what God wanted to happen still happened because he is God!

Resolution

Genesis 46:1-3

46 And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.

² And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.

³ And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:

All of Joseph Family them moved close by Joseph and dwelt with him. The family was restored! Egypt and others around where saved! Despite the famine, despite the things Joseph  brother's had done to him! So just know if God has a vision for your life that through out this whole story of Joseph all the visions told by God came true. Just becareful who you share your vision with, no others may forget but God won't, and even when your family betrays you God can still find away to make what he said come to pass, and restore your family!
